Your choices and freedom of expression
You are free to choose how you want our assessment work to be done with you.
Who Attends the Meeting
When we contact you for your National Panel of Assessor interview, you are free to invite whomever you wish to the meeting. This may be an interpreter, a friend, a workmate, an advocate or carer.
During the meeting, we can use a range of ways to communicate. This may include drawings, pictures, conversation, photo sharing or something else you prefer.
We can meet in person or we can meet over the phone, using text messages or in a video call such as a Microsoft teams meeting.
The Goal of our Meeting
Our job is to make a decision on the funding for the supports you receive or the wages you are paid by your employer. We make these decisions independently after we speak with you and other people involved in your supports.
Your Assessor
We have chosen skilled and experienced people to conduct the assessment. They have been trained to respect your choices and to understand your freedoms.
If you have any concerns about how we manage your choices and freedoms, you can contact me at nic@assess.net.au or an independent service called the Complaints Resolution and Referral Service. They can be contacted on 1800 880 052 or email crrs@glresolution.au
Thank You, and all the best with your future employment goals!
